Civic: A focus on cities and improving the public good.
Motion: A default towards movement in tackling challenges.
I've helped improve urban transportation from within City Hall and across 30+ countries, advising mayors directly and holding executive leadership roles building and scaling organizations. That range of experience, spanning city government, civic-tech product leadership, consulting to local governments, and running a grant-funded nonprofit, has given me a firsthand view of transportation problems from nearly every angle. Most recently, as Director of Programs at the Global Designing Cities Initiative, I oversaw a global infrastructure portfolio reaching 35 cities on a roughly $5M annual budget — work that included the Bloomberg Initiative for Cycling Infrastructure, a competitive grant program supporting cities to build out their cycling networks. Whether leading or as part of a project team, I have a track record of tackling complex problems, technical or political, and turning them into meaningful, implemented solutions.
